SCP: Secret Laboratory is a free-to-play game on Steam heavily based on the SCP Foundation series and its expanded universe of monsters and paranormal phenomena. The primary objective of the SCP Foundation (also “the Foundation”) is to safeguard the world from any and all entities, objects, or phenomena that are deemed potential threats to humanity, and thus to uphold the normalcy of the modern world.

How To Play

Welcome to the world of SCP. Heres what you need to know about getting started. This won't explain everything but will be a quick reference guide to what's important to get started.

The Map

The game world level is complicated and randomly generated based off seed-generation. The sectors go in order of Light Containment > Heavy Containment > Entrance Zone > Surface.

The (Human) Roles

  • D-BOY: Wears orange jumpsuit and is primary objective to escape by any means. Starts in Light containment.
  • SCIENTIST: White outfit, escape. D-Boys could have a gun to kill you.
  • GUARD: Objective is to secure the scientist and help them escape. Detaining D-Boys optional.
  • MTF: Objective is to secure the scientist. Detaining D-Boys optional.
  • CHAOS: Secure the D-Boys, Optional: Kill anything else.

The SCPs

  • SCP-173 (Peanut): Can only move when people arent looking at him, or when their (occasionally) blink. Instant kill when you click on a human.
  • SCP-106 (Grandpa): Can phase / walk through walls. When they attack, they send humans to the "Void" dimension. Players can "sacrifice" themselves and push a button to kill Granda. This requires at-least two players.
  • SCP-096 (Shy Guy): Walks slow. Cant attack. If humans look at him too long, it "enrages" him and he can attack and bust down doors.
  • SCP-049 (Plague Doctor): Instant kills. Plague doctor can make players into "zombies" by holding E on them. This has to be done RIGHT after the doctor gets a kill.
  • SCP-939 (Dog): Can only see when people run, or shoot. Humans can hold C to walk quietly and not be seen. Dog bites to do damage.
  • SCP-079 (AI): This SCP is pretty advanced. Is the AI for the facility. Can use cameras, open doors, lock doors, call elevators, etc.

Navigation Tips

  • In Light containment the following rooms are important:
    • CD where D-Boys spawn
    • WC Bathrooms has items sometimes
    • EX-A EX-B Exit elevators to heavy containment
    • #914 The machine to upgrade items.
    • ##00 Armory with weapons
    • PC15 Sometimes has a key card
    • GR18 Sometimes has a key card and other items
  • In Heavy containment the following rooms are important:
    • Nuke Room (Arm the nuke here)

Using SCP-914 (Light containment)

This machine upgrades shit! Turn it to Fine, put your items in the "INTAKE" and run it. Items will come out other side. Its okay for humans to be inside. Coarse downgrades items. Rough and very fine is not recommended

Win Conditions:

  • Kill the SCP! Arm the alpha warhead, and use a BLACK CARD or other card with nuclear permissions on the surface to set off the nuke. SCP's can disarm / cancel the nuke in the Alpha warhead room.
  • Kill all D-Boys & Scientists

Discouraged:

  • Standing out of reach of a SCP (Exploit)
  • Hopping Between Fences on Surface (Exploit)

  • TAB - Inventory Radial
  • Q - Push to talk (Humans to all, SCP to SCP)
  • V - Push to talk (SCP to Humans (Dog))
