Origin
Around February 2020 on a Minecraft server hosted by Valter, a SethBling datapack was added to the server to add the ability to put saddles on Bees[1], resulting in some hilarious side effects. Namely, bees going extremely fast backwards at uncontrollable speeds[2].
Around this time, Katon cracked the joke that the its "Initial bee" instead of "Initial D".
"Look! Its drifting! Initial B!"
Shortly after saddling the bee, the Bee was lost into the wilderness / unloaded chunks of the server, without the safe containment within the garden greenhouse. A few days later, Ze located the bee while wandering[3].
The wallpaper was created by Rico, which 速い蜂 translates to "fast bee".

- On the same server, a Depressed Bee was discovered, but is not the same bee as the Initial Bee.
- The bee was lost after being let loose outside the original greenhouse, was spotted again, but never recovered.
